CJB Notes: This print was interesting to see unravel. I took a photo of the UK's Remembrance Sunday and the many soldier veterans who were standing together in silence at the Cenotaph in London. They do this every year at 11 o'clock on the 11th month (the time WW1 came to an end), as a mark of respect for all of the fallen soldiers, some of them their comrades. I then edited the photo using several tools and eventually merged an edited photo of a poppy field. The effect is fascinating. It emits powerful emotions. It somehow shows a vision of those who have died still standing alongside those who live. I like the way you can stare at the image and see so many different things. What was a normal photo - after artistically being manipulated - now reveals life and death side by side, so many stories untold, so much pain and loss, so much life having been lived in the faces of the weary veteran soldiers.
